For building KBibTeX you need the same tools as for most other KDE
applications. The binary is linked against libxslt and libxml. For
PS and PDF export you will need latex, pdflatex and dvips. However,
there is no check for these three programs, KBibTeX will simply
fail...
For import and export of EndNote file you would need bibconv. For a
good HTML export bibtex2html is recommended. If this program is not
available, a home-made XSLT file will be used resulting in poor
output. Existance of bibconv and bibtex2html will be check
automatically during runtime and functionality will be disable if
the programs are missing.
If there are other problems building KBibTeX on Mac OS X, just send
me an email.
Greetings,
Thomas
