Hello Guys,

I have just compiled the latest version of vpnc-nortel on centos 5.3 
X86_64 platform . After a bit of stuffing around I managed to connect to 
our Nortel vpn switch . The connection seems pretty stable - needed to 
use the DPD idle setting of 0 . However the problem I do have is that 
connection troughput is very low . It is noticeable when connecting to 
machines in the vpn network with ssh or sftp . My average download speed 
when doing a sftp session is about 5KB/sec . As a comparison I have 
installed a Windows virtual machine on same server in NAT mode and tried 
the Windows Nortel connectivity client  . The download rate from this 
setup is about 1MB/sec . I would much rather avoid VM's as much as 
possible , but need to get the vpnc-nortel client going faster to at 
least the Windows rate . I am using default settings and have not 
observed any obvious errors . Please help me improve the throughput .
